strawberry banana smoothie


since starting my new job, a new routine has been born and subsequently, a new version of myself. one in which i get up and go to the gym before work- who is this person?! although i hate the getting out of bed part, it does make my life easier to sweat early in the morning and start the day out on a healthy note. i've been whipping up smoothies religiously so i always have something to eat after a workout and something i can sip through out my morning. this one is my all time favorite- one part banana, one part strawberry: 

recipe 

1 banana
strawberries to match
1/2 cup almond milk 
2 tablespoons of flaxseeds 

blend to serve

  1. I have gotten in the same routine in the last month as well. While some mornings (or lets be honest) most mornings it is hard to get out of bed, but in the end it is so worth it! It is so nice to have the afternoon free and my workout already over.
    I am really into making smoothies as well, I love a great simple strawberry smoothie like the one you posted above. I have been really into making kale and pineapple smoothies. I am usually not much of a kale person but the pineapple really improves the taste!
